Cabins and Campground
Spring fishing on Talon Lake starts on the Saturday of the Victoria Day
Weekend in May. Fishing on Talon Lake in Northern Ontario are in the
shallows this time of the year & fishermen armed with minnows or worms
scour the weed flats to target them. It's a very nice time of the year
here then & many a day you have the lake virtually to yourself. Pike
fishing at this time is also good after a long winter. Pike go on the
attack! As summer nears & waters warm up the bass season opens the last
Saturday in June & the bass are biting all over the lake. Some as large
as 5 lbs. are not uncommon this time of the year.

Cottages and Campground
We are right on the beautiful Ottawa river, loaded with Pickerel , Pike,
Bass and more varieties . Fish right from our dockside or take out a
boat and explore the best fishing spots. e have winterized
accommodations available, from a basic room to a fully equipped cottage.
Our 10 RV sites each have water , hydro and septic. Plenty of tent sites
are dotted over our thirteen and a half acres. We have a kilometer of
waterside for your fun and enjoyment. Along our waterfront is a spacious
camping field with fire pits. Our dockside facilities include a boat
launch , and car park.
Mattawa
Adventure Camp
Mattawa Adventure Camp is located 35 miles east of North Bay on the
shores of the beautiful Ottawa River and is open year-round for your
personal enjoyment. Fishing of many species abound the river including
Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Perch. Over sixty
miles of navigable waterways to explore await you. The scenery is simply
breathtaking, you will find a peaceful and unspoiled environment.
Our camp boasts several acres of land, modern cottages, nice boats and
motors, hot tubs, and a warm hospitality to round your vacation.
Opimika
Wilderness Cottages
Bring your rod, or if you forgot, then we can supply one for a minimal
charge per day. Opimika is surrounded by over 30 lakes. Being centrally
located, you have access to pike, walleye, bass and trout. No boat, no
problem. Rent a boat and motor for a day or for your entire stay. We
will shuttle you, if need be, boat, motor and all to the lake of your
choice and pick you and your catch of the day up at a pre-arranged time.
